Farm Alpacas are alpaca breeders of quality,
affordable alpacas offering a wide selection of coloured and white
alpacas for sale. My name is Geraldine Thomas and I am responsible
for the care of the alpacas and really enjoy working with these
beautiful, gentle creatures, as well as showing them to our clients
and other farm visitors. My husband, Mike and son David are also
involved in the business undertaking pasture management and general
maintenance of the farm as well as helping with routine husbandry
when more hands are needed.
We are keen to maintain and improve the quality of our herd through
our own breeding programme enhanced by outside blood lines and
are particularly interested in keeping the wonderful variety of
colour, which distinguishes the alpaca, as well as white fleece.
With this year's births we will have a herd of well over forty
alpacas and are able to offer customers a very good selection
of attractive alpacas
Alpacas for Sale - a selection from our prize
winning herd is shown on our Alpacas for
Sale page, or you can come and visit us and see all the choices
that are open to you. We have a wide range of alpacas for sale

field pet. Pregnant alpaca females, young females, young in tact

free repeat mating if unsuccessful
Alpaca training in general welfare and care of alpacas
is routinely offered to all our clients that are interested in

We are happy to demonstrate various aspects of alpaca husbandry
and can give our clients hands on experience before they take
delivery of alpacas purchased from us
Alpaca Husbandry is carried out regularly at Laurel Farm
on all our Alpacas for sale so that any animals you buy will be
fully up to date with worming, vaccinations, and foot care
Alpaca Information -
here at Laurel Farm Alpacas we are always happy to supply as much
useful information as we can. See our alpaca information page
which gives a short history of the alpaca together with a summary
of the current state of the alpaca industry. We also supply Gina
Bromage's excellent Guide to the Management of Llamas and Alpacas
which we have found covers all the information which the new alpaca
owner is likely to need. Click here to find out why Alpacas are so rewarding.
We have set up our paddocks in a pattern which enables us to
move our alpacas around very easily and with minimum stress, with
nearly every paddock being accessible from a central race and
we are always happy for visitors to come and look at our layout
to assist in the design of their own alpaca farms.
Alpaca wool and garments made from our own very
fine alpaca wool are available at Laurel Farm Alpacas in all the
natural colours of the alpaca. Our alpacas are sheared once a
year and we keep some of the fleece for sale direct to hand spinners
and the rest is sent to a mini-mill and spun into high quality
knitting wool. Many holiday makers and locals love to come to
the farm to buy their wool, and we have a number of hand-knitters
who design and knit for us, so that we have a selection of items
for sale for visitors.
Alpaca Shows have become an important part of
the Laurel Farm calender with an encouraging number of show successes.
In only two years of showing we have had two reserve champions,
a champion and a number of places. See our About Us page for the
full details.
