Alpacas for Sale

The UK herd is still quite small and therefore there is plenty of scope for new entries to the market.  The national herd is less than 15,000 at present compared with a worldwide number of approximately 3 million of which only 200,000 are outside South America, with Australia and the USA having the largest share of this.

The present trend seems to be for a two tier market in the UK with overseas breeders entering the UK alpaca market with their very expensive breeding stock and marketing skills, competing against the UK breeders who are currently improving their stock with good breeding programmes enhanced by top quality males.

At Laurel Farm we can offer you a selection of  imported alpacas as well as our
excellent home bred animals. 

We have pregnant females to give you the basis to breed your own herd and
quality herd sires for next year’s matings.

If you do not want to breed but just wish to have alpacas as “ornamental” stock, then you can purchase wethers (castrated males) who will be excellent lawn mowers, sheep guards or companions.
